Modern Notebook for June 7, 2020: Special Marathon 2

This week’s Modern Notebook is another special edition of the show highlighting artists whose livelihoods have been disrupted by the COVID-19 Pandemic.   • Tenor Saxophonist Andrew Hosler performs Zachary McDonald’s Poem #2. Hosler has released an EP of music written, web-premiered, and/or performed online during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic.     Their opera “The Great God Pan” is available through Navona Records Naxos at all digital outlets, and they are currently working on an album of miniatures called “a lonely voice in these haunted rooms: songs from quarantine,” which is being recorded at the haunted Lakeside Inn in Lakeside, Michigan.
