On the final Modern Notebook of the year, Tyler Kline shares Anna Clyne’s orchestral work “The Midnight Hour.” Plus, saxophone and piano music by Baljinder Sekhon titled “Sonata of Puzzles.”
And we’ll hear the entirety of Anna Meredith’s “ANNO,” music that depicts an entire year of seasons with strings and electronics, seamlessly integrated within Vivaldi’s “Four Seasons.”
Plus: music by Angélica Negrón, Kenji Bunch, Julie Zhu, and others; and performances by cellist Inbal Segev, the Scottish Ensemble, pianist Daniel Pesca, saxophonist Doug O’Connor with pianist Jeremy Virgil, and more.
